What’s Possible In Real Estate?

The question is, how do you move from having a real estate job to owning a real estate business? Because let’s face it, just because you have a real estate license doesn’t mean you’re automatically going to work less and make more. In fact, you will probably be working harder than you ever have before. So how do you create that business that will afford you freedom of your time and money?

The 7th Level Real Estate Team.

In Gary Keller’s book, The Millionaire Real Estate Agent, he walks you through step by step how to go from an individual agent to owning a real estate team that essentially runs on its own. And this is what’s possible for you.

If you follow the proven models at KW, you can follow the path that others take to build a team. 

Now, some agents don’t desire to build a team. That is absolutely ok! The choice is 100% yours and KW supports you whether you build a team or not. 

For those who do desire to create a real estate team, we tend to see this happen out of a need to buy back their time. We all only have 24 hours so if you hire correctly, you could actually work less and make more. 

There’s likely going to come a time when you are so busy as an agent that you literally can’t do any more by yourself. That’s a good problem to have! 

Adding Administrative Support:

At the point, or probably a little before the point, when you are maxed out on your time, you can start hiring people to work for you. The first step is hiring administrative support that can handle some of the marketing, basic phone calls, and paperwork. Hiring that first person allows you to spend more time on high-dollar activities like showing houses, going on a listing appointment, or lead generating for more business. These first 1-2 hires should support you in doubling or tripling your business if done correctly!

Adding Sales Support:

According to the models we teach, after hiring your administrative support team, you would begin to hire sales support in the form of what we call Buyers Agents or Sales Agents.

These agents are focused solely on working with clients on the sales side (either buying a home or selling a home).

Adding Lead Generation Support:

Many top teams today are adding lead generation support in the form hiring Inside Sales Agents. These are individuals who are solely focused on generating new client leads or nurturing those client leads until they are ready to work with one of your sales team members.

Replacing Yourself:

Eventually, your last step is to hire someone to replace you. At this point, you are no longer working IN your business, but ON your business. If you set this upright and train your people correctly then you can create a business that essentially runs without the need for you to be there 24/7.

 

This is what we call building a 7th-level real estate team and this is what’s possible for you.

Expansion:

In addition, over the last few years, we have had agents who had great success in building a team in their local market, that they took their processes and went to a different market in the US or even another country, duplicating that success. We call this expansion and KW now has many agents who have expanded their businesses to markets all over the country and world. This has created a truly limitless opportunity inside the KW ecosystem!

It’s important to note that even if you’ve never hired someone or had any employees working for you in the past, it’s ok. We have a class for that to teach you how to follow a proven process to hire, train and retain great people.
